Plus: NFL Draft Predictions and the new "Iron Man"

Hello legends,

Did you see that over 50% of Coachella attendees financed their tickets?

Let’s be honest: In 2025 America - those are rookie numbers. Gotta get those up next year.

But no, my friends, this is not a personal finance newsletter…this is a killer segue into my Top 5 Coachella performances from the desert this year.

Yes, I saved money that I don’t have and watched the youtube livestream from my couch (which I could not endorse enough) and yes, I will use this as a platform to unapologetically share music and musicians you should know about.

Top 5 Coachella Sets 🎡

  1. Ca7triel y Paco Amoroso

Riding the wave from their breakout Tiny Desk performance last year, this Argentine duo is one of, if not the most, refreshing and original acts in all of music right now. In a year where the crowd was pathetically lame and tame, this was easily one of the most energetic hours of the year. Fav track: #Tetas.

  1. Miike Snow

Remember these guys? You definitely remember Animal, at least. Straight out of highschool core memories and appealing to your more sensitive side, for sure. But nonetheless, they provided one of the warmer, melodic, and nostalgic performances. Fav track: Silvia

  1. T-Pain

Look, I’m not a huge fan of hip-hop concerts. Save for a few exceptions, the only way they really work is when it’s a tight hour of straight heat. One after another. Verse, chorus, next, repeat. That’s exactly what T-Pain gave us. The man has too many bangers, and that’s before he dipped into his cover of Don’t Stop Believin’. Fav track: Shawty ft. Plies

  1. Kraftwerk

The absolute legends. Pioneers of electronic music. To this day - still as unmistakably original and vibey as it was in the 70’s. No notes. Fav track: The Model.

  1. Lady Gaga

I’m no “Little Monster” but I can appreciate a knockout performance when I see one. Honestly, I felt like this was made for (and even better on) TV given the intricacy of the set design, choreography, costumes and more. This was a straight-up modern day “night at the opera”. Side note: was cool to see how well she handled her mic going out (during the first song!) on Weekend 2, which also led to the tiktok comment of the week:

Sports Roundup 🏆

Iron Man: Chris Paul is the first and only player to play all 82 games in Season 20 or later. Legend.

Draft Day: One NFL VP GM said Shedeur Sanders gave “the worst formal interview I’ve ever seen in my life.” LOL. You can call it cheap anonymous hate (which it kinda is) but I’m selling here. Not a big fan and would NOT be stoked if my team drafted him (Vegas currently has him going at 21). I will own up and eat crow if I’m proven wrong over the next decade. Sidebar: so unserious that Colorado retired his number.

McLaren: With Oscar Piastri’s win in Saudi last weekend, the orange team has both drivers sitting 1 & 2 in the standings with a firm hold on the Constructors. I, for one, am glad to be done with Max winning (and whining) by 20 seconds every week. F1 returns to Miami next weekend.

Next Week 🇫🇷

Your boy is hopping across the pond for a birthday week in France.

As someone who ran a luxury travel biz for 6 years, you best believe I’ve got the itinerary dialed.

I’ll be sending a French Dispatch from the capital after starting our trip in Alsace in search of dry riesling.
